I did not think I would stay here long as most of what I heard was it was a town near the beaches with lots of surfers and was mainly a party town.
I had a really good day today. I eventually got a bus after 4 answers on where to go (I know...get used to it) and got here around 9 am. I checked into pacha mamas hostel and they have make your own pancakes from 8-10.
Once the electricity came back on, it was off for about 15 minutes and appaterntly last night also, I did so.
I was going to hike to the second biggest statue of christ in the world, but 3 new friends were in the pool and, wityh the heat that sounded much more appealing.
Eventually I got out of the pool, grabbed a quick snack and grabbed a shuttle to naked tiger a hostel up the hill to check out their pool. I swam some more and even saved the life of a butterfly. He was floating in the pool and appeared dead. I took him out a and he was still alive. It took him awhile to come back to his or her senses but (s)he eventually flew off.
After that I laid in a hammock and took a nap. Then shuttle back to town where I had a great fish lunch for $2 ($3 with fresh juice and tip)
Then my new Irish friend michael and I did the Jesus hike.
I am torn as I could easily stay here until Monday, thereby catching the weekend and the famous "Sunday fun day" but I want to get through Costa rica and Panama by the end of October.
I will stay tonight at pacha mama, tomorrow night at naked tiger and then decide.
Good to see you are finding your way and you shaved :-)
