what we have here is a failure to communicate

I had emailed the butterfly reserve people and they wrote back saying that are open every day 8-3.

The first taxi driver did not know where it was. The second said 45 c. I asked twice if that was each way or round trip. He said roundtrip and 100 c to enter their reserve so I said okay.

On the way back he said was not 45 c it was 450 c! I think it was an honest mistake though I had even asked if it was 4 5 initially.I ended up compromising and paying 250 c but I would not have gone if I had known and eventually the butterfly people told me I could have taken a bus and then a tuk tuk for 20 each way. Net cost was 350 c ($14 us)! I thought I asked enough times but if this happens again I am not compromising next time
