traveling on a holiday

So I took the bus to Guatemala, about 2 hours, and then had to catch a bus for the 5 hour ride to cabon and it was suggested that I stay in cabon overnight and that since it is a long way from my arrival terminal to my departure terminal and it is not a safe area that i take a taxi between terminals, which I did. Due to independence day there were lots of people, lots of cars and road closures. The problem is that the taxi driver could not get to the terminal so we had to go to another terminal. This meant more time, more taxi money AND the other terminal had departures every two hours instead of every hour. Thankfully I bought my ticket at 1:45 and the bus departed at 2:00.

I spent the night in coban, nothing exciting, and then took the 2 hour bus ride to lanquin. It is about 11 km from sumac chempey. The area here is beautiful ( national park) and I think I will end up being here until Friday. I was going to stay two nights but if you stay three nights the fourth night is free, so I will probably do that.
