I was invited to a birthday bbq at bellas for the owners son. Since i was not staying there and had to be up early today i passed.  When i checked in to bellas today they shpuld have come...oh well.

I Splurged and went on a tour today at actun tunichil muknal. The Mayan cave is over 1000 years old but only recently was made open to the public (mid-nineties) We had to hike, cross 3 rivers and then walk in water. The tour was very interesting. They have found 14 skulls so far (human sacrifice) and there are 11 other caves not open to the public. Lots of other artifacts also.

No cameras are allowed because about 11 months ago somebody dropped their camera and broke a skull!

Tomorrow I will do self guided tours of xunantunich and canal pech, two other Mayan sites nearby.

The next day I will probably go to a nearby waterfall and then head to Guatemala.

Some things I want to see are difficult due to a tight budget and no transportation.
