I really like Boca's a lot. One of my favorite places. Nice beaches, laid back Caribbean vibe or party scene, whatever you want, the weather was hot but not humid and no sand fleas as rumored...oh and air conditioning even in the hostel dorms.
My favorite countries are Nicaragua, Panama, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
Yesterday I walked around Boca's and then took a short boat ride to another island nearby with no cars and nicer beaches.
Today I went to dolphin bay, went snorkeling, saw sloths, had lunch and went to another nice beach. There were three other people on the tour, two from Holland and one from France (sounds like a John Lennon song)
The hostel I am at has had no internet most of the time I have been here BTW.
I did not realize but the bus to Panama city takes 8-10 hours on winding mountainous roads so I decided to splurge and fly. The airlines website kept asking me for the return date even though I said one way. I am not sure if it was because I was on a tablet or because of the internet on the island but the hostels computers were down so my friend Ryan booked the flight for mwpe with my credit card.
I was hoping to go to a cave here to see bats but the choices of flights were 7:40 am Thursday or Friday night. Although I like itBe here I need to get my butt to south America. I think I may already need to extend to mid or late January.
So, my flight leaves in about 6.5 hours.
Once i know when I am leaving Panama I will book my flight to Colombia. I am guessing that will be Sunday or Monday.
